Freight Account Manager - Hounslow - Up to 35,000Our client who are a UK freight forwarder are currently recruiting for an experienced Freight Account Manager to join their growing business in the Hounslow area.The role is to account management and provide, pricing, quotations and negotiate rates for all freight consignments, liaising with customers, shipping lines and overseas agents, negotiating rates, and spot quotations with high levels of customer service at all levels.Job type: PermanentHours: 09:00am to 17:30pm - Monday to FridayWhat is on offer:Salary: Up to 35,00028 Days Holiday (including Bank Holidays)The Role: Account manager clients of the businessCustomer quotes and follow upsObtaining and negotiation of freight rates, local charges and delivery ratesDeveloping business relationships with existing and new customer baseAssist with the completion of tenders & marketing toolsAssist with the clear handover process to operations for any shipments wonDevelop relationships with overseas agents and assist with routed business in the form of providing charges and local information to themFrom You: Experience in UK freight covering quoting, invoicing and negotiating ratesGood understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience in Air, Road and/or Sea freight in the UK (Requirement)Good general IT skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, a good written and telephone mannerAbility to multi-task and work at a fast paceEffective team workerMotivated and willing to learn new skillsWR Logistics are the recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
