Freelance Senior Designer (Concept / Animation / Motion Design)

We’re Brickwall, a purpose-driven content agency, and we’re looking for passionate Senior Designers to bring our ideas to life. If you are like the sound of working for clients that do good and are adept at turning ideas into compelling visual concepts, you’ll fit right in. If you’re a dab hand at translating those concepts into the artwork that informs films, animations, digital and social media ads, that’s perfect!
About the role:
As a Designer at Brickwall, you will be pivotal in the early stages of our creative process, working with our strategists and creatives to develop visual concepts that bring ideas to life across proposals and pitches.
Your ideas, concepts and visualisations will lay the groundwork for content-led projects, whether that be an animated TV ad driving donations for the homeless, a behind the scenes documentary exploring the future of our electricity transmission network, or the content across a social-media channel that’s all about lending a hand to prospective parents.
We are also seeking those that specialise in artworking / storyboarding / motion design, enabling you to support further down the line in production – working on animation storyboards, creating assets for motion design overlays and developing dynamic social ads as required.
What you’ll do:

Develop design concepts for pitches and proposals across a variety of formats – live action film, animation, motion design, social media ads and OOH.

Present design concepts effectively to the team and our clients – existing and prospective.

Create storyboards and artwork assets for use in production across motion design, animations, films and social media ads.
Who you are:
·
You possess a compelling portfolio that demonstrates strong conceptual design work, particularly across film and animation-based projects.
·
You have a solid foundation in user-centric design principles and are proficient in design software across the Adobe Creative Suite.
·
Experience and understanding of motion design and animation tools is highly desirable.
·
You are a self-starter, capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines in a freelance capacity.
·
You're great at working with designers, strategists and the rest of the team, and you're always upbeat when interacting with clients and other freelance team members.
This opportunity
These initially will be freelance roles, but we’re open to longer term fixed contracts – both full and part time staff to grow our creative team. Our offices are based in South East London, but we promote flexible working, so this role can be carried out remotely.
