Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor - Freelance / Part-time
Location: North London
Type: Freelance 1 to 2 days per week
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Our Client is dedicated to providing the upkeep of social housing / MOD Properties in the North London and Surrounds area. They are seeking a passionate and experienced Freelance Health and Safety Advisor to join their team and help them maintain a safe living environment for all.
Initially this position requires the person to make sure all policies and procedures are in line with current requirements and then as an ongoing consultancy role, approx 1 to 2 days per week.

Job Description:
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing our Clients enhancing health and safety practices across their social housing and MOD projects. You will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventative measures to protect our residents and staff.

Health & Safety Advisor Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and review health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety inspections of properties.
Provide advice and support to staff on health and safety matters.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.
Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Deliver health and safety training and awareness programs.
Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities.
Liaise with external bodies such as local authorities and regulatory agencies.
Prepare detailed reports for senior management on health and safety performance. Health and Safety Advisor Requirements:

NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor, ideally within the housing sector.
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between properties as needed.
