We are looking for an experience Fraud Strategy Analyst to join our burgeoning Fraud Team here at UW.This is an ideal opportunity for someone with some previous Fraud knowledge, great analytical skills and an inquisitive mind that is looking to take a leading role in shaping UW's fraud processes and long term strategies. Here's some of the key skills and experience we're looking for you to bring:Solid experience in a fraud related role, ideally within a Consumer services organisation. Experience in the Telco or utilities sector would be highly advantageousExperience of using fraud detection rules engines.AdvancedExcel/Google Sheet user with Google Big Query/SQL knowledgeStrong analytical skills.Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders and present complex information in an easy to understand wayAn understanding of threats to UW, which may include financial and reputational harmProactive mindset - you enjoy seeking out opportunities to improve processes and help the business manage risk more effectivelyStrong team player who enjoys working with different people to achieve a common goalYou live and breath the UW culturalWe work together. Your team and the people you will work with…The UW Fraud Team is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies and solutions to solve our business problems.This role will report to the Head of Fraud and will work closely with another Fraud Analyst.This is an internally facing role, your customer is the whole UW! You will develop relationships across the business to help teams solve their risk and fraud challenges.We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact.This role will be integral to supporting and protecting our business by analysing fraudulent activities and developing and maintaining fraud prevention strategies across out business.ResponsibilitiesInvestigate internal and customer fraud related incidents - facilitate an effective and timely response.Investigate, customer, and third party activities - produce actionable insights and analysis.Improve our fraud detection and monitoring practices, detect and understand emerging fraudulent activity - research and interpret trends to be ahead of the threat.Raise awareness of fraud and counter-fraud techniques internally.Assist in the creation of documentation and policy to meet fraud challengesAssist teams with their business improvement programme, identify gaps and improvements.Work with stakeholders to implement controls to mitigate key threats and risks.Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with Utility Warehouse policy and regulatory requirements.So why pick UW?We’ve got big ambitions so there’s going to be plenty of challenges.
