FP&A Manager Responsibilities
Lead the development and management of budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans for life sciences projects, departments, or business units.
Oversee the analysis of financial and operational performance, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement within the life sciences sector.
Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making, including investment decisions, pricing strategies, and resource allocation.
Direct the creation of complex financial models to evaluate scenarios, assess risks, and forecast financial outcomes for life sciences initiatives, products, or investments.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to align financial goals with operational objectives in the life sciences industry.
Coordinate the preparation and delivery of clear and concise financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management, investors, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and industry best practices in financial planning and analysis activities within the life sciences sector.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency, data accuracy, and resource optimization in financial planning and analysis functions within life sciences organisations.
FP&A Manager Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the life sciences or healthcare industry.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of an organisation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
