Job Description
At Sage, the Commercial Finance team is responsible for forecasting, reporting, evaluating, and explaining the company’s financial performance and partners with business leaders to help inform and guide key operational and strategic decisions.Our FP&A team are central to helping Sage make better decisions, create competitive advantage, and successfully deliver its strategy. The team enables the group to influence revenue and cost lines by supporting budgeting and planning. This, along with monitoring through forecasting, to add value and insight whilst working collaboratively with the business.A keen eye for detail and the ability to make the complex simple is key to the role of our FP&A Analyst and as this role involves constant interaction with senior non-finance stakeholders across the business, you will need the confidence and emotional intelligence to effectively communicate whist building trusted relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Summary of your day-to-day?• Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager and working directly with cross-functional and regional leaders to drive forward our vision of becoming a great SaaS company• Working with large complex data sets to drive insightful analytics• Supporting product focused Finance Business Partners through thorough analysis and understanding of costs and headcount, to develop data-driven insight• Assisting in the delivery of month-end close in a materially accurate and timely manner• Driving continuous improvement in the forecast, planning and budgeting process, increasing the company’s ability to deliver on central cost base targets• Delivering insight into the KPIs driving commercial performance and understand how these lead to, and impact, financial outcomes• Driving standardization and automation of processes and analysis that are currently very manual, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function• Providing support in the delivery of ad-hoc projects that drive strategic outcomes• Working in a hands-on environment to understand the numbers to tackle complex problems whilst working to deadlinesWhat We Are Looking For:• The right attitude to learn, grow and develop on a highly dynamic team of financial professionals• The aptitude to learn quickly on the job• Willingness to grow into a cost-focused, FP&A positionMore good stuffOur comprehensive total rewards program includes:• Generous pension and bonus schemes• Extended health, dental and vision coverage• On-going training and professional development• Paid 5 days to volunteer through our Sage Foundation• And, so much more!Dig deeper about who we are:Who we are: Life at Sage: How we make a difference: Sage Business Cloud - SaaS for Every Business: Do you love where you work?
