Salary £35,745 - £43,421 pro rata per annum (dependent on experience and meeting criteria)
We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term full time social worker to join our family and friends fostering team.
Primarily you will be assessing and supporting family and friends’ carers which will include:

Completing kinship fostering and Special Guardianship assessments,
·
Supervising, supporting and training a caseload of family and friends foster carers to ensure they offer the highest standards of care to the children they look after.
We are a stable team of qualified social workers and a support worker who are all committed to delivering permanency and positive outcomes for Bolton children. We assess supervise and support a very committed group of kinship carers some of whom go on to be SGO carers.
About You
You will be an experienced social worker with excellent communication and assessment skills, able to work independently to clear timescales.
You will have a strong commitment to the assessment, training, supervision and support of family and friends foster carers and the provision of family-based care for children who cannot live with their parents.
You will use your knowledge of behavioural and attachment issues to support carers in their role and to work to deliver positive outcomes for Bolton’s Looked After Children.
You will be flexible in your hours of work as sometimes there will be the need to work outside of usual office hours.
