Forklift Driver - Builders Merchants

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative / Forklift Driver for an well established builders merchant based in Southall. The successful candidate will come from a builders merchant environment and will join on a temp2perm basis, this role will be road mapped to move in to a Trade Counter Sales role once you've a strong knowledge or the materials stocked.

The Working Hours: Monday to Friday 06:30am to 4:00pm & 1 Saturday on 1 off - 06:30am to 12:00pm

Pay Rate: £28k per annum

This role involves:

picking orders
keeping the yard area safe, tidy and organised
operating counterbalance & combi side-loader (training provided if needed)
loading and unloading company and customer vehicles
helping customers who come in to the yard
helping trade customers over the trade counter with quotes, product enquires, processing orders and responding to emails / inbound calls
To be considered for this role you must have / be:

previously worked in a Yard Operative role in a Builders Merchant environment
previous experience using a counterbalance forklift
physically fit and able to lift heavy items
fluent English speaking
either living in Southall or easily able to commute
looking for a full-time permanent role
reliable and hard-working
