Forklift Driver - Builders Merchants

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Yard Operative / Forklift Driver for an well established builders merchant based in Southall. The successful candidate will come from a builders merchant environment and will join on a temp2perm basis, this role will be road mapped to move in to a Trade Counter Sales role once you've a strong knowledge or the materials stocked.

The Working Hours: Monday to Friday 06:30am to 4:00pm & 1 Saturday on 1 off - 06:30am to 12:00pm

Pay Rate: £28k per annum

This role involves:

• picking orders
• keeping the yard area safe, tidy and organised
• operating counterbalance & combi side-loader (training provided if needed)
• loading and unloading company and customer vehicles
• helping customers who come in to the yard
• helping trade customers over the trade counter with quotes, product enquires, processing orders and responding to emails / inbound calls

To be considered for this role you must have / be:

• previously worked in a Yard Operative role in a Builders Merchant environment
• previous experience using a counterbalance forklift
• physically fit and able to lift heavy items
• fluent English speaking
• either living in Southall or easily able to commute 
• looking for a full-time permanent role
• reliable and hard-working
