Link3 Recruitment is seeking a talented and creative Forest School Leader required to start work in one of our nurseries located in Deby, DE74 area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Forest School Leader who is committed to providing the highest quality childcare and education for children.
Job Details:
This Forest School Leader role is full-time and permanent, starting as soon as possible. We require a passionate and energetic Forest School Leader who will innovate and raise standards as well as attainment. A good sense of humour and the ability to relate and effectively communicate with young people are essential.
Role Description:
As a Forest School Leader, you will play a pivotal role in creating an enriching outdoor learning experience for our children. You will be responsible for planning and leading forest school sessions, incorporating nature-based activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development. Your role will involve creating a safe and inspiring outdoor environment, managing risk effectively, and ensuring that each child has meaningful learning experiences in nature.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver engaging forest school sessions that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Foster a love for nature and the outdoors among children through hands-on experiences, exploration, and discovery.
  • Create a safe and inclusive outdoor learning environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines and risk assessment protocols.
  • Collaborate with the nursery team to integrate forest school activities into the overall curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, and colleagues, promoting effective communication and partnership working.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate the impact of forest school sessions on children's learning and development, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to forest school activities, including observations and progress reports.


Requirements:


  • Level 3  qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a forest school or outdoor education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development theories and the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A passion for nature-based learning and outdoor exploration.
  • First aid qualification (desirable).
