Forensic Social Worker

Oxford Health are looking to expand their current team. The Forensic team is looking for a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organised team. This Forensic Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

Forensic Social Worker Responsibilities Include:

  • To carry out the role of Care Co-ordinator to an allocated number of service users and take responsibility for ensuring that individual care is assessed, planned, and reviewed as part of the Care Programme Approach.
  • To provide a social care service to an allocated number of service users and their carers who are accepted by the Forensic service.
  • To initiate and maintain good links with local authorities of the area of origin of Extra Contractual Referral patients (ECR) within the service.
  • To have direct contact with service users via casework and input to a clinical treatment programme. This will include undertaking social circumstances report, Mental Health review Tribunal reports, Managers Hearing report and section 117 Aftercare responsibilities.
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to needs and risk assessments and planning of care and risk management as part of the Care Programme Approach.

Requirements / Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working as a Forensic Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
  • HCPC Registration
  • 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
