Salary: MPS/UPS�30,000 - �46,525 per annum�

GSL Education is seeking to appoint a
Food Technology Teacher to work at a client Secondary school in Hull. This position is available from
Easter 2024.
You will need to be able to work 3 - 5 days a week during school hours, but also flexible to attend meetings with outside agencies after school hours if required.��

About the School- Many pupils at the school are helped to develop their holistic needs when they may have struggled to succeed in another school.
- The school have a maximum of 55 Students, and only provide KS3 & KS4.
- Many of their students have more challenging & complex background, with a rigorous and academic education which challenges them, not only academically, but also in the terms of their place in society.
- Some of these students have been permanently excluded from Mainstream School
- The school aims to aims to help young people strive to develop positive behaviours and constructive attitudes and to overcome barriers to learning.

Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:�
- Delivering dynamic and interactive lessons that capture students' imaginations and foster their passion for food technology.
- Incorporating theoretical aspects of food technology, including food science, nutrition, and hygiene, into your teaching.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching materials and schemes of work that align with the national curriculum.
- Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement.
Food Technology Teacher Requirements:�
- A teaching qualification, namely a PGCE or a B.Ed. with QTS in Food Technology or Hospitality/Catering/Food Science.
- Have recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4. Experience teaching KS5 is ideal but not essential.�
- Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject
- Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management - although children are generally well behaved in the school.
- Are a committed and reflective professional who strives for continued improvement.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
