Food Technologist

As a Food Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products while driving innovation and continuous improvement. This position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to enhance our product offerings and maintain compliance with industry standards.Job Responsibilities:You will act as the technical expert within the Food Team.Identify, develop, and specify food products to meet customer requirements.Collaborate with multiple suppliers to ensure product compliance with Food Quality Standards.Liaise with food suppliers to identify common commercial food products.Drive product innovationEnsure pricing aligns with contractual obligations by coordinating with the Commercial team.Organize and oversee food selection panels and range reviews with suppliers and customers.Support strategic supplier negotiations and participate in supplier reviews.Qualifications and Skills:HNC or equivalent qualification in Food Science and Technology.Prior experience in product development is advantageous.Strong leadership in food selection panels.Skill in developing balanced menus and nutritional requirements within commercial constraints.Proficiency in understanding the end-to-end supply chain process.Our client offer excellent career progression opportunitiescand provide a professional environment, where you can further develop your skills and contribute to the success of the business.
