Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Food Production Trainer at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a part time, fixed term basis until 31 March 2025and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of Pro rata of GBP29,483 – GBP34,191 (i.e. GBP12,749.41 – GBP14,785.30) per annum. The Food Production Trainer role: Are you a cookery and food production expert, looking to share your skills and enable people to have a fresh start and gain employment in the Hospitality and Catering industry? We are excited to be recruiting a Food Production Trainer in our Training Kitchen to train prisoners in cookery skills while delivering qualifications at HMP Ford, West Sussex. The Food Production Trainer will provide other Hospitality outlets in HMP Ford with high quality produce and train prisoners in the skills required to gain employment in the Hospitality & Catering industry. Key Responsibilities of our Food Production Trainer:
Delivering both practical and theoretical training sessions to a range of customers and clients either onsite or at employers premises. Writing training courses and specifications as required. Devising a range of effective training materials, including on–line materials. Undertaking assessments. Providing effective feedback to clients. Undertaking evaluation to drive improvement. Being fully conversant with course regulations and specifications for the defined area thus ensuring conformity and best practice. Supporting the development and delivery of related programmes. Liaising with other staff as appropriate to ensure a high standard of learning. Assisting with securing quality improvement within the wider Curriculum area.
Our ideal Food Production Trainer should have the below skills and experience:
Level 3 (or equivalent) in a related subject or equivalent experience Relevant industry experience in Hospitality/Food Production Level 3 coaching qualification or willingness to work towards a qualification Ability to work alone and as part of a team with interpersonal skills Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners Evening and weekend work as required
