Food Preparation Operative Wanted!

Full-time / Temporary to Permanent opportunities, based in Southampton area.

£12 to £12.50 per hour (depending on experience).

40 to 50-hours per week, (additional hours available if wanted).

Shift pattern 8am to 5pm. (Saturdays off +1 other day off if wanted).

We have brand new opportunities for candidates who have food preparation and or kitchen experience, working a minimum of 5-days a week. You will be expected to develop efficient food prep skills and learn multiple sections, so that you can become a valuable part of the team.

Once your probation period is successfully completed you will receive a salary review, and additional training / development.

Current fully trained and permanent staff are earning up to £3,500 per month gross, working 6 days a week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to earn money and who likes a physical, hands-on job, in a busy work environment.

You will be supported and trained, to become an engaged member of the team, where you will be expected to complete the following tasks.

Daily Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cut / peel / chop / dice and slice various food items using knife skills.
• Using onsite cutting and food preparation equipment.
• Lifting, carrying, and moving bags up to 20KG.
• Working on your feet 8-hours per day, cutting of steel prep tables.
• Transporting completed products by pallets and trollies to and from the prep / warehouse area once final products vacuum packed / palletised.

You will be working in a chilled / ambient environment and will be required to be physically fit and able to use kitchen knives and equipment, as well as all lifting and carrying duties.

You will need to complete a site visit to see the work environment and team, and you will need to complete a basic trade test assessment.

You must live in the Southampton or surrounding area and be eligible to work in the UK.
