Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time), working 5 out of 7 days. Shifts will be worked between 9am and 6.30pm on average. Regular weekend working is required, as well as weekdays and holidays.
You'll be required to work the occasional evening shift for events, finishing 9pm at the latest.
Salary: £24,000 per year.
Duration: Permanent contract.

What it's like to work here Reporting to the Food & Beverage Assistant Manager, you'll be based at Anglesey Abbey (Quy Road, Lode, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, CB25 9EJ), a Jacobean-style house with gardens and a working watermill. As well as the house and gardens, Anglesey Abbey has a woodland play area, shop, plant centre and the Redwoods restaurant.
What you'll be doing As a Team Leader, youll be giving day-to-day support to your team, to make sure theyre consistently giving great service to everyone who comes to the café. This is a busy, lively place to work, so youll need to be adaptable. Your focus will be front of house, dealing directly with people and serving them food and drink. Crucial to this role will be your love of working with people, your positive can-do attitude and your desire to provide an outstanding service. Using your excellent eye for detail, youll make sure all displays and signs are accurate, and that the food is looking good. At times, you may need to help the kitchen team with preparing food. Youll also be supervising the induction and training of colleagues, to help build a team thats dedicated to great service and to giving people a day to remember. Well give you an induction that fits the job, and training in allergens and food safety, plus any mentoring needed to help you in your role.
