Flt Counterbalance Driver

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for FLT Counterbalance Drivers on behalf of our client based in Haydock.

Are you an experienced and reliable forklift operator looking for work in the Haydock area?

We're looking to recruit a Counterbalance Driver to unload, move and stack packages in their facilities.

The jobholder must possess a counterbalance FLT Licence, have experience of working in a bonded warehouse and have an understanding of FLT and logistics operations, including picking stock, case picking, loading and unloading trailers and general handling of various palletised case goods. Experience of operating narrow-aisle trucks in a racking environment and/or clamp/push pull trucks for loading containers is also desirable.

Your main duties will involve:

• A key focus on Health and Safety in the workplace


• Scanning of goods in/out bound


• Carrying out manual procedures


• Loading and off-loading of various goods


• Preparing trailers including but not limited to pulling open/closing side curtains and fastening/unfastening load-securing straps.


• Load securing


• Paperwork verifications


• Stock control


• Manual lifting


• Communication with managers, supervisors and stock control team


• General warehouse duties & house keeping

*shunting experience required

You must be confident, competent and have good communication skills given the safety critical nature of the work that is undertaken.

• Proven experience as a forklift counterbalance operator


• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment / warehousing.


• Valid certification to operate forklifts.


• A can-do and team-spirited attitude

Pay rate:��12.50 p/h

Working hours:�Monday - Friday: 2pm - 10pm
