FLT Counterbalance Driver

GI Group are looking for an experienced FLT Driver to join our clients friendly team on a long-term basis. This role is based in the Chesterfield, S43 area.
The candidate must have experience of Forklift Counterbalance work.
Job Types: Temporary - Permanent
Working Hours/Pay Rates:
Continental shift pattern, rotation of days & nights.
6:00am - 6:00pm - 6:00pm - 6:00am.
Rate of pay dependant on experience
Duties/Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Operating VNA / Counterbalance Forklifts safely.
* Safe stacking and unstacking large quantities of pallets into racking.
* Moving pallets from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
* Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the pallets to their designated storage areas.
* Ensuring that equipment driving areas are free from spills or obstructions.
* Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and counterbalance forklift / VNA operating procedures.
Essential Skills Required:
* Accredited forklift /VNA operating licence from an industry-recognised body such as RTITB.
* Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotation of days and nights.
* Operators will be required to partake in quarterly stock takes.
* Ability to work well in a team with other members.
* Knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements.
* Knowledge of warehouse storage procedures, such as the correct way to stack pallets.
* Ability to use scanning equipment record stock inventories movements and picking procedures
