Flow Testing - Level 1 Technician

ABOUT YOU
An opportunity has arisen for a laboratory technician to work within our clients flow testing facility. The role involves air flow testing of gas turbine engine components to support manufacturing quality control.
Required skills and experience:
Degree or HND in science / engineering, preferably aerospace engineering
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Key activities:
Preparation and testing of predominantly turbine components to determine flow rate through cooling holes, completion of associated quality control activities, and reporting of results within the scope of the laboratory.
Assessment is carried out using a variety of specially designed rigs.
Duties may also include application of problem solving to resolve practical issues associated with component geometries and rig design.
Role is based within a client team who are responsible for managing workloads and assigning tasks.
Working directly with client and alongside other Intertek employees in a small team.
