Flood Risk Modeller - Yorkshire/Cumbria - to £65,000 (DOE) - Hybrid role
A Yorkshire based, award-winning building design consultancy has a fantastic opportunity for a Flood Risk Modeller/Hydraulic Modeller to take a lead role in hydraulic modelling and take full control.
As a Flood Risk Modeller you will play a pivotal role in building and managing a team around where you will be responsible for establishing best practices, driving innovation in projects related to water systems and infrastructure. Using your extensive experience, you will have the ability to produce and run 1D/2D hydraulic models, Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Alleviation Schemes and Drainage Strategies on a wide range of schemes using Hydraulic software packages (of your choice) where you will work with Engineers and Technicians to deliver projects that meet client requirements whilst providing technical support to others.
You will have a degree in Civil/Structural/Environmental Engineering or equivalent with substantial post-qualification experience, ideally a member of CIWEM or working towards, have demonstrable experience in delivering Flood Alleviation schemes, Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies coupled with solid knowledge of the regulatory system to ensure that designs and projects comply with laws and regulations.
