Experience required…
Essential:
Relevant Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, geography or equivalent.
Chartered Member or working towards chartered membership of a professional institution such as CIWEM, ICE, APM, etc.
Technical experience in UK flood risk legislation and planning standards.
Experience in developing business cases for flood risk management schemes with the aim to secure Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDFiA) funding.
Knowledge of hydraulic modelling (Flood Modeller TUFLOW) or drainage modelling software (Microdrainage or Causeway Flow) and technically competent in fundamental hydraulic design principles.
Experience or an understanding of project management or principles to achieve project delivery.
Experience working with public sectors such as LLFA’s and/or EA.
Experience of working on planning applications and awareness off LLFA duties.
Experience working in client facing environments and ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
· A full UK driving licence.
· Chartered Membership of relevant professional organisation.
