My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in flood risk, flood resilience and emergency planning, is searching for a Flood Resilience Surveyor to join an established team based across the Newcastle.

You will receive excellent in house training to specialise in Property Flood Resilience, Emergency Planning and Flood Mitigation.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Geography, Surveying, Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Topographic Surveys and Property Flood Resilience.

Applicants are required to have a valid driving licence to complete surveys across the local area.

It is also beneficial for applicants to reside locally as office contact will be required for training purposes.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a team of experienced Engineers based across the North East to work on varied Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Mitigation and Property Flood Resilience for Homeowners, Businesses, Local Authorities and Insurance Companies. You will be based from the local office and complete site visits across the North East to complete surveys.

You will also be required to complete the following;

-Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1,2 and 3.

-Property Flood Resilience Surveys.

-Analyse existing data including photographic surveys and topographic surveys to assess flooding.

-Flooding Asset Inspections for Local Authorities.

-Inspect and assess flood risk assets.

-Public Safety Risk Assessment.

-Survey buildings and sites at risk of flooding and complete reports assessing resilience levels, drying and decontamination requirements.

-On-site sampling.

-Complete Post Installation Assessments and invoices for Clients, following Project completion.

-Assist with auditing.

-Promote the services of the Company and deliver projects to time and budget.
