Serving the UK and beyond with its premier fleet of Sikorsky and Leonardo helicopters based in the South of England, the Midlands, and the Channel Islands, Flexjet Helicopters is searching for First Officers to join our growing organisation.Functionally responsible to the Captain for the duration of all flying dutiesMaintain a high personal standard of discipline, conduct and appearance as a representative of the CompanySupport the Captain, by active example, in the development and maintenance of a high standard of professional expertise and moraleSupport the Captain in the maintenance of a proper standard of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearanceCarry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with Company Operations Manual, including procedures, limitations and performance relating to the specific aircraft Type, as allocated by the CaptainVolunteer such advice, information and assistance to the Captain as may contribute favourably towards the safe and efficient conduct of the flightSupport an open and honest Flight Safety culture which promotes good CRM throughout the company and ensures risks are reduced to their absolute minimum. As required, submit appropriate Company safety reports and report discrepancies/ defects through the appropriate channels.Maintains a current medical certificate as required by the Company and notify the Operations Team if a medical (physical or mental) condition may impair their ability to perform the flightAssist the Captain as requested, concerning administrative duties in relation to the flightMaintain a high degree of crew coordination, performing duties in a professional, efficient, and cordial manner at all timesResponsible to the Operations team, Head of Crew Training and Chief Pilot for duty assignments and trainingGreet passengers and assist with passenger seating and luggage storage in a professional and courteous mannerConduct passenger briefings as requiredPerform other duties as required by the businessEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMust meet the following requirements:Valid UK ATPL (H) or CAA CPL (H), or EASA equivalent acceptable for a validationInstrument Rating500 hours Rotary Total TimeValid UK Class 1 MedicalHold a valid UK PassportHolder of an ELP (English Language Proficiency) Rating on EASA License – minimum level 5S-76 type rating desirableAW109 type rating desirablePrevious experience in Commercial or Corporate aircraft desirablePrevious Military or North Sea experience desirableMust possess the legal right to work in the UK and have the ability to travel in and out of Europe and to all cities/countries where Flexjet Helicopters servesAbility to work weekends, nights, shifts, holidays and overnight tripsEmployment is predicated on successful completion of Line Training that includes a Type Rating in the aircraft soughtREQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSWorking knowledge of all applicable EASA RegulationsStrong organisational skills & advanced multi-tasking abilitiesStrong interpersonal, verbal/written and presentation skills are necessary to perform job at the expected levelComputer skills necessary to operate word processing, email and web-based applicationsMust possess a passionate attention to detail and the ability to work in a team atmospherePresent a well-groomed appearanceWORKING CONDITIONSThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold: high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels and oils. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. PHYSICAL DEMANDSIn addition to the requirement to hold a Class 1 Medical certificate, the Pilot must be able to complete the day-to-day tasks associated with the operation of a helicopter. This includes but is not limited to loading and unloading of bags, accomplish a thorough pre-flight and post flight inspection, assist with snow removal during inclement weather, installation and the removal of engine covers and the daily internal and external cleaning of aircraft as required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move heavy baggage, in excess of 20 kgs.
