The focus on Fleet Performance and the need to improve it has never been more intense. The Fleet Performance Engineer pays a critical part in supporting the Fleet team to significantly improve the consistency of its delivery of rolling stock to the Company's customers every day. Working closely with all maintenance suppliers the Fleet Performance Engineer manages the interface between Fleet and the Company's performance community, managing Fleet's initial review of those incidents attributed to Fleet causes and performing the initial interrogation of those incidents to either direct the attribution more appropriately or to assemble information to support deeper analysis of the causes by the relevant Fleet Manager.
The Fleet Performance Engineer is also the custodian of the Fleet Performance Management System, responsible for its diligent maintenance and development. The Fleet Performance Engineer provides expert analytical support to the Fleet team in respect of the full range of Fleet Quality and Performance results.
