About The Role
This role will be south based with required travel to our sites.
The fleet manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of our company's fleet. This position requires strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills to effectively manage and optimize the maintenance, performance, and cost-efficiency of our fleet. The fleet manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including drivers, maintenance partners, and finance teams, to ensure fleet operations align with company goals and industry regulations. Develop and implement fleet management strategies to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness
Maintain accurate records of fleet assets, including vehicle information, maintenance logs, and driver records
Coordinate and schedule regular vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure fleet compliance and maximum uptime
Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics, such as fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and driver performance, to identify areas for improvement
Establish and enforce fleet operating policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
Manage and develop a team of drivers, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations
Collaborate with finance teams to develop and manage fleet budgets, including fuel, maintenance, and vehicle acquisition costs

About YouTo be successful within this position you will demonstrate the below capabilities:
Desirably a Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field
Proven experience in fleet management, with a track record of optimizing fleet performance and cost-efficiency
Familiarity with legal obligations surrounding the operation of a fleet of vehicles
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and interpret data to drive informed decisions
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Proficient in using fleet management software and other related tools
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
