Do you come from a mechanical or hydraulic engineering background or a recent graduate seeking to secure a position within the aviation industry?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate for a Fitter to work for one of our clients who is a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices.

As the Fitter your responsibilities would include:

• Dissemble hydraulic/mechanical components


• Interpreting technical data


• Fault diagnosis


• Identifying component wear, damage, or corrosion


• Using precisely calibrated measuring equipment


• Populate and complete computer-generated documentation


• Assemble hydraulic/mechanical components ready for testing


• Working from technical data supporting the test engineers by testing components and populating test reports on completion


• Maintaining and ensuring the implementation of standard operating procedures


• Ensuring quality standards are always met


• Other duties as deemed reasonable

Person specification:

• Background in mechanical/hydraulic engineering (grads considered)


• Good numeracy and literacy skills – minimum GCSE in both


• Able to work to tight deadlines and adhere to health and safety regulations


• Good communication skills


• Strong analytical skills both written and verbal


• Well-organised and self-motivated
