Job Description: Fit Out Manager or Site Manager (Fit Out)
Locations: Central London
We currently have needs for Fit Out Managers for a number of projects in various sectors including, Education, Arts, Leisure, retail, health, residential and industrial.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager/Project Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of a building project. They are responsible for overseeing all site activities through to completion in terms of safety, time, cost and quality.
Responsibilities:
Ensure safe workplace, safe systems of work, competent personnel and safe working practices and culture
Experienced fit out manager with good knowledge on full fit out works from 1st fix right through to snagging.
Capable of looking after all trades within the blocks i.e. dry liner’s, MEP, joinery/carpentry, kitchens, hard/soft flooring, painting/decorating etc.
Ensure areas/materials are ready ahead of works commencing to ensure these align with our construction program.
Responsible for all QA, checking completed works and completing sign offs/handovers with the contractors on site.
Once 2nd fix works are complete, they will also be responsible for all snagging and ensuring areas are ready for client inspections.
Efficient with technology as we use tablets on site for all QA/snagging etc and they will also be expected to complete site diaries electronically, send out emails etc
Supervise activity/work package delivery
Record daily activity logs for all site activity
Liaise with the various trade professionals to organize new work areas and ensure smooth co-ordination
Liaise with sub-contractors on materials orders
Requirements
· Previous Construction Management experience within fit out of residential.
· The ability to communicate effectively is required in order to manage customer relationships, in addition to planning and organisation skills to deliver operational excellence and efficiency.
· Effective leadership skills, including experience of working within teams and confidence in the ability to lead, influence and communicate with others to deliver targets are required.
· Financial awareness is required to deliver targets, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance.
· An appropriate and valid CSCS card and SMSTS is required.
· Relevant technical qualification are desirable.
· First Aid experience
