Firmware/Software Technical Lead

Avanti Recruitment has partnered with a growing tech company in London and is looking for a lead firmware engineer to join their multi-disciplinary R+D team. You'll be working with a mix of different skills including embedded software, hardware, and cloud developers to bring new projects through the development lifecycle.

Your primary responsibilities will be technical leadership, engineering culture, and high-quality code. You will be responsible for�fostering collaboration and innovation and you'll collaborate across different teams to seamlessly integrate software solutions into laboratory workflows while driving the development of robust, scalable, and secure applications.

Key Skills/Experience:

Object-oriented programming using languages like C# or C++

Firmware development for embedded platforms

Knowledge of IoT technologies (Modbus, WiFi, BLE, LoRa, etc.) and exposure to a variety of sensors

Familiarity with Windows and Linux-based programming

Previous leadership experience (technical lead, project lead, team leader, etc.)

A scientific/electronic background

You will need a strong understanding of software architecture and hardware data integrations, coupled with the ability to lead and mentor a team of developers. Any previous experience in designing and implementing robotic systems or automation solutions is highly beneficial.
