We are working with a provider of Social Housing, who are looking to recruit a Fire Safety Surveyor on a 12 month fixed term basis.





The primary function of this role is to manage and deliver investment delivery of fire safety projects.  The role will be flexible to meet the business needs which will require  you to work with Project Delivery teams aswell as the surveying teams.





The delivery of the investment programmes forms a key part of the contact with residents and leaseholders, you must have the relevant skills to provide the level of technical knowledge required to ensure the delivery of works is completed within budget and to meet legislative and Health & safety requirements. The Surveyor will support the delivery of annual Planned Works programmes by undertaking Work in Progress & Post Inspections and technical guidance to contractors.





This is a key asset management role, working with colleagues in Fire Safety, Responsive Surveying, Building Safety and Housing colleagues. With responsibility to ensure KPI targets are met, as well as specific overall requirements to meet the regulatory and health and safety requirements around the service, including the Decent Homes Standard and most recently Housing health and safety rating system





Responsibilities will include:




  • Making technical decisions in relation to site visits, design/specification and contract management,

  • Quality control and one-off / ongoing project management.

  • Delivering high levels of resident satisfaction, ensuring effective communication and that works are meeting the groups legal standards, obligatory responsibilities, and key performance indicators





We are looking for someone with:




  • A professional qualification in a building surveying, maintenance, construction, energy, or asset management related field, coupled with recognised Health & Safety Qualification i.e. NEBOSH/CSCS

  • Knowledge and application of Decent Homes Standards and Housing Health & Safety rating coupled with proven experience of fire awareness.

  • Previous experience of working in the sector

  • Full driving licence and access to vehicle
