Fire Risk Assessor/Fire Safety Officer - Local Authority

Location: SN1 2JH
Start date: ASAP
Contract duration: 3+ months
Working hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours p/w
Pay rate: �20 p/h

As the Fire Risk Assessor/Fire Safety Officer you will be responsible for the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments to approximately 10,500 tenanted homes, 240 corporate and commercial operational Council owned properties, 8 high rise tower blocks, 90 medium rise blocks of flats and 500 low rise blocks of flats. You will work in partnership with the Asbestos Manager, Building Services Engineer and Facilities Manager to maintain the Council's Statutory Compliance.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

• Competent Risk Assessor (RAMS).
• Recognised qualification in advanced Fire Safety Assessment.
• NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent; IFE or equivalent registered Fire Risk Assessor.
• Good Working knowledge of building construction, including non-traditional built properties.
• Construction or Social Housing experience essential or trade background.
• Full UK driving licence.
