Job description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team as a Trainee CNC Operator, responsible for setting and operating one of our Biesse Rover A 5 axis CNC machines producing fire doors and frames.
Main Responsibilities
Learn to work within the machining department, efficiently managing CNC machines, day to day training will be given as a base start, then off site training from Biesse will be given, once a certain level has been obtained if required.
Minimise machine setup time and report equipment malfunctions to reduce downtime.
Learn to do daily and weekly maintenance as per machine specifications.
Keep the areas and machines clean and tidy.
Learn to run other basic machines like the wall saw and edgbander to help with the cutting sheets and learn the basic requirements of production.
Hours: 40 per week 7.00 till 4.00
Qualifications/Experience
A relevant machining qualification or at least 1 year working a 3 axis cnc.
Or 2 to 3 years
GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work autonomously, manage oneself and workload efficiently.
Systematic approach to problem-solving.
