Fire And Security Engineer

Job title: Fire and Security Engineer Contract type: Permanent Location: Bedfordshire Salary: Up to £35,000Our client is currently looking for a Fire & Security Engineer to join them at a single site in Bedfordshire. As the new Fire & Security Engineer, you will report into the Facilities Manager and work alongside a team of multi-skilled engineers within the Facilities Services Team to carry out maintenance works in all aspects of security systems. You will carry out reactive and preventative maintenance works in all aspects of security systems, fire detection, life safety equipment whilst complying with all Health & Safety legislations. You must be able to carry out investigations into the performance of the plant and equipment installed on site and produce related reports and recommendations as may be required. Other key responsibilities will include:Assisting in specifying and obtaining spare parts/other items of equipment to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the technical estate.Ensuring various pre-planned maintenance schedules are kept up to date and maintained.Assisting in multi-trade support of other members of the FM team. What you will need to do the role: They would also consider relevant certifications or licences that will allow you to aid in other areas e.g. minimum electrical/electronic ONC experience or equivalent preferred. Experience within a similar role is an advantage however you must have a proven ability to install, test, commission and service IP & Analogue CCTV Systems, Conventional Access Control Systems, Conventional and Addressable Intruder Detection and Fire Alarm Systems.
