* Monday to FridayJob Description: We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer responsible for maintenance, fault-finding, commissioning, and emergency call-outs related to Automatic Fire, Fire Extinguishing-Gas Suppression, Fire Aspiration Alarm Systems, and Security Systems. The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive and supportive attitude, with a strong team player mindset, willing to go the extra mile to assist colleagues.Responsibilities:
* Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning across various system types.
* Attend emergency callouts and execute reactive & minor or extra works efficiently.
* Complete electronic worksheets daily, submit timesheets weekly, and manage weekly mileage/expense claims.
* Comply with all company policies relating to Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Technical Compliance.
* Provide support to colleagues with technical issues either through telephone or site visits.
* Maintain high standards in engineering practices, and report any inconsistencies.
* Manage client expectations by maintaining communication regarding project timelines and changes.
* Update site logbooks with details of all work carried out.
* Mentor and assist in the development of trainees.
* Maintain company issued equipment and report any issues.
* Develop and maintain effective client relationships and assist in securing future work.Requirements:
* 2 - 5 years of experience in the fire and security industry.
* Proven ability to install, test, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems and/or Security Systems.
* Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with software programming on main line products.
* Effective communication skills, capable of managing relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Valid Driving Licence (preferred).Education:
* GCSE or equivalent (preferred)Experience:
* Engineering: 5+ years (preferred)
