Job description: Fire Alarm SupervisorGeneral DescriptionThe post holder will assume responsibility for completing all jobs assigned to them by the company which will be predominantly managing and supervising the Fire & AOV Division but could also include, but not limited to, Fire Alarm & AOV Installation, Reactive Maintenance and Planned Maintenance.The post holder will be responsible for a team of Fire engineers. They will be responsible for ensuring the work completed by their team is to specification, compliant and to the companies standards. This will include completing inspections of work and ensuring all certification is completed correctly and in a timely manager.The company will expect all jobs to be completed to a high standard with the job holder using all technical knowledge to do so.Primary Job Functions Where necessary interpret fire alarm or AOV drawings and specifications for a Fire or AOV install and be able to work with these accordingly.Work in a safe and orderly manor in accordance with the current health and safety and Fire Alarm Regulations and standards.Have a good knowledge of different types of Fire Alarm controls and equipment including Closed Protocol Systems.Maintain Fire Alarm and AOV Systems and be able to repair/adapt where necessary.Fill out all paperwork and/or use the Oneserve Application accurately and in a timely manner.Review/ authorise certification carried out by staff members.Complete all electrical work in accordance with BS 7671 & Amendment 3 BS5839 of current Fire Alarm regulations.Manage and supervise team members and report back to Company Managers / Directors.Offer technical advice and monitor performance of team members.Attend site meetings with clientsConduct disciplinary hearings where required and ensure correct company processes are adhered to.Provide any training necessary to team members and monitor progression of apprentices/improvers.Carry out interviews with potential candidates if/when required.Lead audits and maintain company accreditation to BAFE. Required Skills/ ExperienceGood knowledge of the Fire & AOV industryExperience of working from mobile devices is essential to complete job sheets electronically in an accurate and timely mannerGood communication with customersAdministrative skillsPositive attitude and time keepingConfidence and experience to be able to work aloneQualifications Hold full electrical qualifications and provide certification showing 'pass' or better up to and including level 3. NVQ's & AM2 Assessments optionalThe FIA AO Level 3 in Fire Detection and Alarm Design Theory and Regulatory RequirementsBenefitsBonus SchemeLevel of Health CareCompany Van Private Use Allowance You must have held a full UK driving license for at least 12 Months Work status Full timeTravel and Hours In order to perform your duties, you may be asked to travel to locations around the United Kingdom to undertake assignments.You will be required to work from Monday to Friday for 8 hours a day with an hour's un-paid break, with the core hours of work being 8:00am to 17:00pm; however, timings can be made more flexible in certain circumstances. In addition to your normal hours you will also be required to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, with reasonable notice. This could include un-sociable hours such as evenings and weekends.Reporting You will report to the Chief Operating Officer
