Fire Alarm Engineer Job Description

• The Fire Alarm Engineer will carry out various servicing, repairs, commissioning and reactive maintenance on Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems, as well as small works and repairs to complete systems.


• The Fire Alarm Engineer would also cover Emergency Lighting systems and other associated safety systems, including all relevant documentation through the Company’s service system


• The Fire Alarm Engineer will ensure they are up-to-date knowledge of, and compliance with, all relevant British Standards is essential.


• Areas Covered: London, Essex, Suffolk, Kent, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire.


• Participate in the company call-out rota

About the Candidate:

• The Fire Alarm Engineer must have good client communication skills and be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.


• 2 years of experience as a minimum


• Experience in maintaining and repairing the fire alarm systems


• Experience in working with Kentec, Ctec, Haes, Advanced, Morley systems, and Gaseous Fire Suppression Systems


• Knowledge of BS5839 is essential


• FIA desirable


• Full UK driving license


• Good communication skills with the Office/Managers/Clients

The Package:

• Salary up to £35,000 per annum, negotiable dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.
