Fire Alarm Engineer Job Description
Our client now has an opportunity for a field-based Fire Alarm Engineer to cover a geographical area around the Southwest. The main goal of this role is to carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire detection, fire alarm, and associated equipment and products. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, your work is essential, keeping our customer sites safe and secure, whilst maintaining our client’s reputation and profitability.
What will I be doing as a Fire Engineer?




  • The Fire Alarm Engineer will carry out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire detection, fire alarm, and associated equipment and products to relevant legislative and Company qualitative standards

  • The Fire Alarm Engineer will identify and follow through sales  opportunities within the area of responsibility

  • The Fire Alarm Engineer Where required, you will plan and organize your own program to ensure that it is carried out in an efficient and organized way

  • The Fire Alarm Engineer will share technical and problem-solving ability skills and knowledge with colleagues in the team

  • The Fire Alarm Engineer will fully understand and comply with any site-specific H & S requirements and/or training relevant to a site being worked on

  1. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

  2. Commission scheme for all quoted works of 6% after an invoice is paid

  3. Gas suppression knowledge is preferable but not essential

  4. Ideally based in central London

  5. Door-to-door travel time paid at a single rate

  6. Overtime available (Sat paid time and half, Sunday at double time door to door)

  7. Experience with Advanced and Kentec systems

  8. Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS 

  9. £38K – 40K basic

  10. Work is around the SE with some work in Bristol, South Wales at times

  11. Need to have 5 years expert science

  12. British passport
