Job: Fire Alarm Engineer



Location: London



Pay: 38-42k





My client is a reputable service provider with nearly four decades of experience delivering Electrical and Fire Compliance solutions to Housing Associations and Local Authorities. Their paramount concern is the safety of individuals, and they have earned the trust of local authorities, housing associations, and emergency services by ensuring fire and electrical compliance across numerous residences and public structures. Core services encompass:





- Scheduled maintenance



- Periodic maintenance



- Prompt response to repairs



- Testing and inspection



- Installation, renovation, and enhancement projects





In the past year, the organisation has undergone significant expansion, currently employing approximately 150 engineers and 50 administrative staff. Despite their growth, they maintain a familial atmosphere and prioritise the investment in their employees, recognising them as the most valuable asset. Several members of the Senior Management Team, including the Managing Director, have been part of the company for over 15 years, starting as apprentices.

Job Purpose:



The primary objective of this role is to execute daily tasks to a high standard in accordance with relevant contracts, safety regulations, and company policies. Ensuring exceptional customer service to the clients and their residents is paramount.





Main Duties and Responsibilities:



As a fire engineer, you will report to the Supervisor/Contract Manager, serving as the primary liaison between the company and our clients. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a strong technical proficiency in the fire industry, are essential. You will be responsible for:





- Fire alarm servicing, maintenance, repairs, and installations



- Troubleshooting and rectifying faults



- Executing company tasks to specified standards



- Delivering superior customer care and enhancing the company's reputation



- Compliance with company procedures and policies



- Timely reporting and adherence to quality management systems



- Responsible recycling practices





Experience:



My client seeks candidates with experience in fire alarm maintenance, installations, and repairs, preferably within the public sector. While an FIA qualification is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Additionally, applicants should possess:





- Proficiency in tools, equipment, and materials



- Relevant trade qualifications



- Strong communication skills



- IT literacy



- Dedication to excellent customer service
