Financial Systems Analyst

Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a newly created opportunity for a Financial Systems Analyst to support the wider function in improving financial processes and ensuring robust controls are in place throughout the organisation.

What will the Financial Systems Analyst role involve?

• Reporting to the Head of Systems Improvement, the key responsibilities of the role will include:
• Review of existing financial controls and segregation of duties across all internal financial systems;
• Identifying any areas of improvement and making recommendations to internal controls, implement effective change where required;
• Work with wider finance function to understand specific processes within each individual unit and recommend and support and required changes to internal controls;
• Proactively evaluate systems risks and engage process owners to ensure root causes are identified and addressed.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Systems Analyst vacancy:

• Applicants for the position will have knowledge of system controls identification and evaluation and experience in performing system and risk controls testing.
