The Role
This is an exciting time of growth for us, and we are hiring a Financial Reporting Manager to help us continue this success.
Reporting to the Head of Accounting, the Financial Reporting Manager will lead, motivate and develop a team of five to deliver management and statutory accounts.
You’ll be responsible for robust controls and maintenance of a clean balance sheet, leveraging technology to develop operational excellence and efficiency. You’ll support the Head of Accounting and CFO in decision making and apply your technical expertise.
You will also:
- Lead and develop the team, overseeing all financial reporting and maintaining a hands-on approach. You’ll act as the technical lead for statutory reporting and for the implementation of new accounting standards.
- You’ll oversee the production of management accounts for the group, as well as cost centre and income reporting; identifying key messages and providing analysis and key insights.
- You’ll manage year-end close, audit of Financial Statements and the production of annual reports. You’ll maintain a hands-on approach to group statutory reporting, ensuring this conforms to IFRS and UK GAAP standards
- You’ll build robust controls around all accounting activities, questioning and streamlining processes, utilising available technology.
- You’ll be active within internal and external audits

To be considered as our Financial Reporting Manager you’ll need:
- A formal accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and extensive PQE
- You’ll be fluent in Statutory reporting, foreign entity consolidation and FX accounting
- You’ll have leadership experience with enthusiasm for coaching and development
- You’ll be able to interpret legislation and write papers to board level.
- You’ll be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines.
- A passion for change and driving efficiencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills with resilience and adaptability
- Acquisition accounting experience is desirable
A financial services background would be beneficial to your application, in particular in the area of credit broking.
