Main Responsibilities:
Responsibility for processing all financial activities in relation to provisioning for key maintenance events and take financial lead for the forecast, balance sheet and actual performance.
Ensuring IFRS16 Accounting, reporting and reconciliations for provisions are delivered timely and accurately, with technical application of the standard being essential.
The role will be a key contact for audit related questions and will also provide support to the Accounting and Control team at quarter ends to reconcile SAP to HFM movement types.
Provide commercial support on any contract negotiations, tenders and business cases. The role will be required to provide budget information to allow benchmarking against external bids during contract tenders. Calculating financials for such business cases will also be required, including one-off and on-going impacts of key commercial decisions.
Working in partnership with the additional teams to support in-house optimisation.
Evaluate revisions and ensure any changes are reflected in cash flow forecasts, identifying and communicating any potential risk and opportunities to the forecast as a result of movements in the plan.
Driving continuous improvement activities, including any IT / Analytics projects in this area. This involves the constant review and evaluation of the processes in place as well as the closing and reporting activities.
Key Skills and experience:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant
Strong analytical & Presentational skills
Eager to learn and a born self-educator
Structured and coordinated, and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Adapts communication to match audience
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Strong knowledge of Excel; including vlookups & Pivot Tables
This role requires strong business English (written & spoken).
