We have a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic individual to join us as a Financial Reporting Accountant. This position is to help support our Finance Manager and CFO in the preparation and delivery of financial information across the Group.
What we are looking for is an efficacious, technical accountant who is experienced in financial reporting, with a positive and down-to-earth personality who would take pleasure in joining our small finance team and take responsibility for the preparation of the annual reports, half-year results and the financial statements of the group entities under IFRS along with the monthly management accounts.

What would be my main responsibilities?
Ensure timely preparation of the consolidated Group monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, KPIs and variance analysis with commentary
Post various month end journals and complete balance sheet reconciliations
Ad hoc analysis and reporting
Assist with the preparation of half-year and year-end Group consolidation schedules and Statutory Accounts (IFRS) including detailed notes for an AIM-listed business
Assist with the preparation of the year-end subsidiary statutory financial statements (IFRS)
Assist in the external year-end audit by processing audit requests and dealing with auditor queries
What wed like from you
Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
Experience working in an Accounting practice
or experience working in group reporting team of a listed business for minimum +2 years
Strong technical accounting skills, including:
Working knowledge and practical application of IFRS, in particular:
IAS 38 - capitlisation of development costs
IFRS 3 - business combinations
IFRS 16 - lease accounting
Deferred Tax
Experience in applying technical accounting standards in a group business
Solid experience of Statutory Reporting and Accounts preparation
Advanced Excel skills
Hands-on approach with a readiness to be flexible
A sense of camaraderie and good humour while under pressure
