About The Role: The Finance team covers a wide range of financial responsibilities, including equity raising, investor relations, treasury management, risk reporting, financial planning, and more. The business is at a hugely exciting phase of growth, making this a great time to join the team.Role Overview: As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial control team. You will lead aspects of close and reporting processes, challenge accounting assessments, support automation of controls, and analyse the impact of new product initiatives. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Manage accounting for treasury instruments, including hedge accounting and bonds.Review and challenge treasury's management information and key models.Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and support external financial reporting.Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product initiatives and corporate development activities.Support the year-end audit process and identify areas for internal control improvements.Personal Attributes & Experience:Qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent, ideally with Big 4/Top 10 accountancy firm experience.Background in Banking/FinTech/Financial Services industry preferred.Strong analytical skills with expertise in data and reporting tools.Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.Problem-solving mindset and strong influencing skills.Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.This is an excellent platform to build a successful future career in Finance, in a business which focuses on personal and professional development.
