Claire's are recruiting a Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis Manager (FPR&A Manager. The FPR&A Manager is responsible for providing a complete financial planning and management information and analysis service to directors within our European business, Margin and Cost of goods planning and supporting the CPG business.Reporting to the FPR&A Director, this role will supervise a small team and will be working closely with senior stakeholders.The role can be offered on a hybrid basis working 2/3 days a week from our European HQ in Birmingham.Duties and responsibilities:Prepare the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, providing information for strategic planning for Sales, Cost of Sales and assisting in preparation of all Operational expense plans.Ensure the completion of comprehensive annual budgeting process for all areas of responsibilityManage Store Investment Appraisals, including sales forecasts and store by store proformas. Review CPG P&L’s to ensure accuracy and highlight any potential Risks and OpportunitiesEnsure an understanding of store performance, seeking to develop knowledge and understanding in all areas and provide a pro-active approach. This to include second sites, potential store closures and like-for-like by store analysisWith regards to ‘What if’ scenarios, provide an understanding of possibilities for sales
opportunities/downturn
or hours utilisation and the profit implications arisingLiaise with Merchandising to ensure consistency between Buying and Finance plans. Analyse and evaluate MPPR information throughout and compare with company business plan ensuring its objectives are satisfied. Communicate and manage through any variances or updates. Control revised plansDecision support – producing analysis and conclusions as required to support business decisionsProduction of ad hoc information and analysis and involvement in project work as required Provide assistance to the Director of FPR&A and Financial Controller and produce ad hoc analyses, forecasts or scenarios as required
What are we looking for?
To be considered for this role we are keen to speak to people with the following skills and experience:
