Are you a Financial Planning Analyst looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity within our Operations Finance Team for a role reporting to the Head of Finance for Thames Valley & Home Counties Operations to support our Water operations business. The role requires a highly motivated individual who can develop an enhanced service, focused on providing proactive, engaging financial insight and analysis, challenging all aspects of performance, efficiency and control.Join our team and help us continue to provide top-tier service to our customers while achieving our financial goals. What you will be doing as Financial Planning AnalystManaging and presenting financial performance and ensuring that the Field teams have the forward-looking insight to make informed decisions, drive efficiency and performance improvements, as well as account for all Opex and Capital spend correctly. Providing insightful analysis that links business performance with financial results and which ensures effective commercial and operational decisions are made.Participate in Business Partner performance meetings, ensuring timely financial results are clearly communicated and understood whilst maintaining a forward-looking focus.Holding business partners to account on performance as well as teasing out forward looking risks and opportunities to the forecast.Owning the modelling for our Water Networks activities across both regions (TVHC and London) and fulfilling role as SME in this space.Preparing and uploading budgets and forecasts for operational expenditure, measuring and understanding performance against these metrics.What you should bring to the role?A Qualified accountant or qualified by experience with strong business partnering, management accounting and ideally project / capital accounting experience.Not afraid to challenge and influence key decision making. Possess strong analytical, presentation and IS skills, including SAP, Excel and Power BI. Travel within the Thames Water region will be required as this is a business facing role.What's in it for you?Competitive salary - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.Annual Leave 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service.
