Financial Planning & Analysis ManagerDepartment: Core - FinanceEmployment Type: Permanent - Full TimeLocation: Oxford, UKDescriptionAs the FP&A Manager at Aurora Energy Research, you will embark on a role that blends financial expertise with strategic influence. Reporting to the Group Head of FP&A, you are set to be a key player in our financial operations, primarily focusing on essential FP&A cycles including in-depth reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and dynamic business partnering. Your role is not just about numbers; it's about turning those numbers into narratives that shape our business decisions and strategies.In this position, you will be instrumental in bridging complex financial data with actionable business insights. You will play a critical role in guiding the financial direction of Aurora, ensuring a seamless integration of financial acumen with our overarching business goals. This is an opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a substantial impact in a leading energy analytics company, driving innovation and excellence in a vibrant and collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMonthly reporting to the board on financial monthly performance and the drivers of performance vs. budgetSupporting the business with ad hoc and Business specific reporting to drive effective decision-making through product, project, and regional profitabilityBudgeting & Forecasting - 3 statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow alongside 3-year planning and sales planningModelling & scenario-planningKPI tracking - key SaaS, financial and non-financial metricsInvestor relations- supporting ad hoc requests and analysis from the InvestorsSupporting driving the finance technology roadmap as a user and customer of the processSupporting on M&A and strategic projectsWhat we are looking forRequired attributes:Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA)Transaction experience additional desired skillset e.g. transaction servicesCan do attitude / solution focusedData-driven and customer-firstExperience with managing senior management and external stakeholdersHighly analytical, excellent communication skillsAdditional nice to haves but not essential: private equity, ERP experience with Dynamics 365, BI tools/insights experience, systems integration and reporting preferred, SaaS experienceWhat we offerThe opportunity to contribute to the continued development of a successful and thriving finance team in a fast-paced and exciting industry.A dynamic, intellectually stimulating, and supportive environmentA fun, informal and international work cultureAn office in the centre of Oxford with coffee, fruit, and snacks available in the officeA competitive salary package.Access to the Aurora Academy, our training programme offering a range of opportunities to develop your skills.At Aurora we will consider all requests for flexible working.
