We have a new opportunity to be part of the Finance team in the role of Financial Operations Manager.
Purpose
To lead and develop a Financial Operations team that delivers best-in-class Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury functions to ensure efficient, robust and compliant P2P and O2C financial processes operate across the team.
To actively contribute to the Team’s primary objective of consistently being a top three team in the FIA Constructor’s Championship
Primary Responsibilities
To operate the best Financial Operations team in Formula One
To drive process improvement opportunities across P2P, O2C and Treasury processes, bringing external perspectives to drive best-in-class performance and adding value to all relevant stakeholders
To confidently and effectively lead a team recognised by the business as proactively driving improvements in all Financial Operations processes, including P2P and O2C, with tangible results
To lead a motivated, high-performing team delivering against clear objectives and development plans
To ensure that all customer and supplier invoices are processed and paid on a timely basis and in line with contractual terms
To ensure that full reconciliations of all supplier ledger accounts are maintained monthly
To ensure customer and supplier queries are resolved on a timely basis
To ensure the timely preparation and approval of payment runs, proforma and ad-hoc payments to be made from group bank accounts
To ensure the integrity and accuracy of all supplier and customer master data
Engagement with and education of non-Finance personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the P2P, O2C and Treasury processes
To be a respected member of the Finance leadership team, chairing, attending and proactively participating in meetings as required
To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally always and to respect and comply with the company’s reporting structure
To maintain and develop skill levels to industry standard and maintain current and thorough working knowledge of P2P, O2C and Treasury processes
Any other duties as reasonably requested aligned to you job role
Skills & Knowledge Required
Possess an excellent working knowledge of O2C, P2P and Treasury processes, especially in a high-volume, fast-paced business
Ability to lead a highly-performing team and function known for its excellence, reliability, thorough understanding of the business requirements and ability to respond to them in a compliant yet effective manner
Outstanding written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities, able to communicate effectively, positively, and respectfully internally and externally
Numeracy and an eye for detail, capable of working quickly to a high standard of accuracy
Expert in the use of Microsoft products, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel
Ability to problem solve with sound decision-making skills
To be self-motivated and to motivate others to thrive in a challenging environment
Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales
To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and rapidly changing environment
Be results orientated and be confident in your decision-making skills
Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
Excellent organisational skills
Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to Health & Safety
