CY Executive Resourcing are excited to be working with a visionary NHS Trust in the Midlands, as they look to recruit a Financial Income & Planning Manager.This is a chance to join a progressive NHS organisation, recently voted amongst the top in the country by staff recommending it as a place to work.The Financial Income & Planning Manager position oversees the operational leadership of the Income and Planning elements of the Financial Business Intelligence team.Key responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring both the Income system (SLAM) and the Medium Term Plan of the trust are maintained in a timely mannerMaintenance of a contracts register, so the Trust is aware of upcoming renewals/tenders and the process that needs to occur to support thisLiaising with relevant organisational managers across the Trust to develop, produce and analyse the Trust Medium Term Financial PlanEnsuring high quality analysis to the wider Finance Team to aid planning, budget management and business case completionLeading on the development of Financial Business Intelligence Reports/Dashboards to be shared with the wider trust to help inform decisions on improving patient care and ensuring financial sustainabilityLiaising with the ICS to support, understand and develop the use of Finance systems (e.g.SLAM) benchmarking, both within the trust and the Integrated Care SystemEnsuring expert financial leadership regarding all aspects of the Trust’s clinical activity, income and contracting processes is provided by the teamSupporting the Trust in developing and complying with its clinical contractsActing as lead point of contact for some of the main Acute Contracts that the trust holds with associated Commissioning OrganisationsEnsuring that the submission timetables and deadlines of the external planning and monitoring information to NHSE and the ICS are metEnsuring internal Reporting of committee papers on a monthly basis showing and explaining the financial position of the trust, is completed in an accurate and timely mannerInterpreting and updating the wider trust on any national and local planning and reporting updatesWork alongside the Income Accountant to understand the impact of the national tariff and the wider implications to the trust of changes in the funding streams and mechanismsApplicants should be experienced leaders with the ability to quickly establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders, and convey complex financial information. You will be a fully qualified accountant with a proven background in NHS finance, and enjoy working at pace.
