The Role:
The Finance department is responsible for providing financial information to the company. As Financial Controller, reporting to the Finance Director, the role will require leadership and development of a small finance team to produce effective and timely management information to support strategic decision making. Production of financial and management board packs. Control of the budgeting, year end and cashflow functions to ensure all deadlines are adhered to at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
• To lead, manage and motivate a team of 4 persons
• Control of treasury and purchase ledger overhead functions
• Performance management and identifying individual training requirements and implementation and delivery of training plans
• Take ownership for resolving day-to-day team issues
• Ensure team targets, service levels and key performance indicators are met, on a daily basis
• Production of month end financial and management accounts for the business
• Production of the month end board pack
• Annual budgeting and reforecasting process
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Rolling Cashflow forecasting
• Control and maintain fixed asset register
• Production of quarterly vat returns
• Overseeing any Finance Department projects and process improvements
• Liaise closely with Data Analyst for the production of accounting information
• Finance Lead in year end audit, accounts preparation and corporation tax packs
• Ad Hoc duties as required

Personal Specification:
Fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA with comprehensive financial and management accounting experience (Essential)
Experience of working in the professional services sector (Preferable)
Proven Experience of managing a small team (Essential)
Leads by example in areas of leadership and integrity, steadiness under pressure, commitment, time management, corporate responsibility and ethics
Be able to prioritise own workload
Be pro-active, self-motivated and a team player
Attention to detail
Excellent advanced excel skills (Essential)
Experience in Netsuite is desirable but not essential
Effective communication skills (telephone and written)
Ability to forge strong working relationships at all levels to board level
Package
Salary upto £65,000 per annum depending on experience
37.5 Hours Mon-Fri
Hybrid working, 3 days at home, after successful completion of the probation period
5% Pension scheme
25 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays
