Job Description
ROLE: Financial Controller/ Finance Manager – Corporate Branded Hotel
LOCATION: Near Birmingham - Option to work from home 2 /3 days per week.
SALARY: Circa £30-35k per year and great worldwide benefits
Our client is a leading 4* hotel near Birmingham that is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller / Finance Manager. This hotel is already one of the foremost hotels in area offering quality bedrooms stock, well-appointed M&E and stylish public areas.
This role would suit an Assistant FC ready for career progression or an experienced FC looking to grow into a bigger Hotel operation.
Reporting to the General Manager & Regional Financial Controller; you will oversee all financial reporting, support in managing the hotel payroll & the control of all financial processes including purchase and sales ledger within the operation.
Your duties will include:
reconciliations from each department from tills all the way to bank statements including all payment types (cash, cards & pdq machines).
to all correspondence & emails for accounts
sales reports for HOD’s.
payment runs BACS/Chaps.
with Head office finance teams to produce month end accounts.
vs Forecast analysis.
The ideal Candidate will:
possess a proven track record of working in a hotel accounts department at a minimum of Assistant FC level.
Be highly motivated with a strong strategic understanding of business dynamics.
Must be an excellent problem solver & possess the ability to ‘think on their feet’ & to remain calm & effective in all situations
Excellent communications skills, both oral & written
Possess good analysing skills of financial data & market trends
Ideally from a hotel background
