The business boasts a dynamic management team, leveraging cutting-edge technology and a fast-paced approach, the company has consistently delivered outstanding results and demonstrated an ability to scale to new regions in the UK.The Financial Controller position is a newly created role primarily responsible for leading and developing the Finance function in the provision of timely and accurate financial information. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role is ideal for the right candidate to shape and influence the finance function, to lead and support delivery of their wider business plan to senior management.Key Financial Responsibilities:STRATEGICProvide leadership and guidance to and development of finance functionResponsibility for input to wider business plan through budget and long-range planning processSupport due diligence on growth strategyReview customer and supplier operational and commercial relationships, e.g. terms, pricingReview and develop business continuity planOPERATIONALWritten and verbal communication to the Managing Director and Senior Management TeamFinancial processes review and developmentLead role in margin and cashflow improvement targetsPreparation and responsibility for internal financial reports (Weekly cashflow, Monthly Management Accounts, Quarterly Projections)Review and develop KPI reporting – customer and project profitability analysisBalance sheet reconciliationsSupervision of preparation and responsibility for external financial reports (Audited Accounts)SUPPORTEnsure compliance and controls are fit for purposeMonthly VAT Returns and other HMRC regulatory requirementsTax planningFinance lease reviewLead on cashflow management and introduce opportunities for improvementBackground and Experience:Fully qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA)Solid Financial & Management Accounting experienceAbility to provide quality Management InformationA desire to work in a fast-paced and fluid environmentThe ability to build and lead a growing finance functionForm part of the Senior Management Team and embrace the journey** This role is based onsite 5 days per week in the East Kilbride office, there is parking, and the business does provide flexibility around start/finish times as required** This is a growing business and in turn, the role and responsibilities of this position will also grow
